U.S. Drone Kills 2 Hostages

On Thursday, President Barack Obama announced that in January a U.S. drone killed 2 hostages. One of the hostages was an American named Warren Weinstein, and the other man was an Italian named Giovanni Lo Porto. The drone that killed the two man was intended for an al-Qaeda compound but they did kill two Americans that were affiliated with al-Qaeda in the same region. An al-Qaeda leader who was American was also killed in that attack. Obama takes full responsibility of the attack and never meant to harm any American citizen but he did take out high ranking officials in al-Qaeda. There was said to be bad intelligence because there was no reason to believe that there was hostages there so that's why they made the attack. One CNN official said that Obama never really approved the operation but it did happen and he takes responsibility.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is Guilty

After the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the jury found him guilty on 30 different accounts. Dzhokhar was part of the Boston Bombing in the 2013 Boston Marathon along with his brother. After the bombing the two of them were on the run and got into a gunfight with the police. His brother was shot and killed and he was severely injured and captured. This attack was the worst terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11. There is no doubt that he will serve the rest of his life in prison but the prosecution is wanting the death penalty because he committed a heinous crime with no remorse shortly after becoming a U.S. citizen. The defense's job is just to keep him off death row and they are saying that he was only 19 and didn't know what he was doing and his brother forced and manipulated him into doing it. It is looking like the punishment will be the death penalty and survivors of the attack are glad it is.

North Korea Fires Missile

North Korea was reported to have fired 2 short ranged ballistic missiles into the East Sea. The missiles were fired from a city 37 miles from PyongYang. The missiles were fired once the annual U.S. and South Korea military drills began. These drills have sparked tension between North and South Korea and South Korea stated that the drills were non-provocative. North Korea has done this before and last year there was at least 90 recorded projectiles launched by them. A South Korean official said that they will respond to this "threat" and continue to do drills as a statement saying they are not afraid.

ISIS Beheads 21 Christians

The video/article I found was about ISIS doing another beheading. This time they beheaded 21 Coptic Christians in Libya. This is very important news because it shows that ISIS is spreading rapidly. Before there was no reports of ISIS being in Libya and now they are marching Christians out onto a beach and beheading them. The title of their video stated that this was a message to the cross, meaning they wanted to threaten Christians. This attack just shows how ruthless these people are and they will do anything for their religion. Overall I think this attack is just another horrible thing that ISIS has done and I don't think it supports their thoughts of spreading Islam throughout the world.
